On May 27, 2025, Teach for Belgium launched its iteration of the two-year Leadership Empowerment and Development for Inclusive Education (LEAD-IN) program. The first session welcomed more than 30 management teams from Belgian Dutch-speaking and French-speaking areas of education.
The session was structured in eight modules, which focused on discussions about prejudices, emotional intelligence, and a number of core values. Additionally, conversations targeted what constitutes an inclusive school, as well as the diversity models already in place.
The beginning of an exciting journey for a group of enthusiastic participants, this event was also a benchmark one in the area of professional school development. Despite the high demand for support and coaching for school management teams, little attention had previously been paid to nurturing leadership skills in the course-setting team at an educational institution.
